Within a two minute walk from Littleton and Mosswood is the Australian Institute of Sport which inlcudes a olympic swimming pool and water slide.

In 1996 The Australian Sports Commission and Thredbo Alpine Resort joined together to establish the Australian Institute of Sport accredited AIS/Thredbo Alpine Training Centre. Not only for the elite, the multi-purpose training centre and its full portfolio of facilities is open to the public, sport teams, conference groups ,schools, clubs and the local community for social and recreational activities.

The facility compliments the multitude of activities in Thredbo on a year round basis. It's development has been heartily welcomed by visitors, sporting groups and locals alike.
